You can encounter all sorts of issues with video files, from colors to sound, and there is only so much a lightweight editor can do for you. Intertake, on the other hand, can address many more inconveniences you may have with your video files. It places a broad range of professional-grade tools at your disposal, and it keeps them well-organized so that you may process your files quickly and effortlessly. You can take low-quality videos and make them presentable in no time.

The program is free to try, with a minor limitation regarding video exporting. It works on all modern Windows platforms, without relying on any third-party tools or services. The setup package is significantly larger than that of most video editing utilities, so it may take some time to download if you have a weak Internet connection. On the other hand, the installation process is quick, and it doesn't involve any complicated operations.

Intertake presents a lot of options on its user interface, but they are organized in a logical manner, on a series of tabs, and everything is well explained, so you shouldn't run into those moments when you stare at the screen, trying to find a particular button. You can import one or more videos into a list, on the left side of the window, and make all the tweaks you want on the right side. The program lets you make transformations that involve video resampling and frame rate conversion, color adjustments, audio tweaks, and you can also add special effects.

The operations you can perform with Intertake may not sound like much more than what you can do with your run-of-the-mill video processors, but if you take a closer look, you will see that this piece of software is much more flexible. You get basic options for selecting different parameters on the main interface so that you can get a job done quickly, but you also get several menus in which you have more control over the corrections you want to make. Furthermore, everything on Intertake's interface makes sense, from the way its controls are organized to how you can instantly switch between parameters and apply your changes to one video or all of them or how it lets you know that certain options are enabled or not.

The output options are just what you would expect. You can store your videos in many popular formats, for playing on your computer, on mobile devices or on the web. Additionally, the software provides you with additional options, which allow you to rename the output files, decide what to do with the originals, create proxies and more. It's really hard to think of something that hasn't been implemented already.

When it comes to processing video files, few utilities on the market are capable of providing a powerful and flexible functionality like Intertake.

Pros

The software provides a wide range of useful options, while still keeping everything relatively simple and well-organized. It works will all popular media formats, it lets you make various output settings, and it's capable of processing multiple files in one run.

Cons

There are no obvious design flaws or functionality gaps to address.
